Kenya Leads the United Nations in the Formulation of Global Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations General Assembly unanimously elected Kenya to co-chair an inter-governmental Open Working Group (OWG) tasked with the formulation of the Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The group is open to the participation of all 193 member states but will be represented by 70 member states from the five regions. The goals are to catalyze and galvanize international cooperation and action towards poverty eradication and protection of the environment.
